Re: Equifax Account Watch Service - Is it Safe??

Hi Rover8098, I used to work with a company that provided exactly these kind of services. As far as I'm aware, they are some of the most secure available. At the end of the day, they have been provided to stop Identity Fraud, and if they had any kind of security breach with a customer's details who had actually registered to protect this..... then the media would be all over it! Its up to you in the end, but I have registered mine with Experian's version. Good luck and let me know how you get on!

Equifax Account Watch Service - Is it Safe??

Anyone heard/tried the equifax a/c watch service? If so is it safe? Basically it's a service where you can register all your online accounts (current a/c, savings, credit cards, mobile phone, utilities etc) and see all of them on one site. Also, for 25p per message, equifax send you weekly text alerts . The whole service costs just £1.50 (plus each text you are sent). I am really tempted to register, but the only bit that puts me off is the fact that the data is apparently held securely in the US (with all due respect to the yanks-they can't even secure their own borders, so why should I trust them with my banking details ;-) Any comments or experiences would be welcome! Thanks.
