I switched to a fixed rate deal with Npower (shudders at the thought) on the last day the Fixed Price 2011 was available.

The switch costs me just over £200 p.a. but as we are in summer low usage, the actual increase will be less.If Atlantic copy EDF's rates then I will make an saving of around £110 p.a. by making the switch, with the prospect of further savings up to October 2011 if these inexorable rises continue.

They are all taking us to cleaners whichever way you are looking at it. The Government has presided over the biggest rip off for years now and the damage to fuel poverty customers is appalling.
