    To be honest there is no major difference between the two appart for Ugg being more popular than Emu which is a more classic version. That's because Ugg is one of the Emu brands who is a manufacturer and they also come slightly cheaper.

    I have ugg australia boots and love them I paid £90 for them but they have emailed me lately saying that because of the exchange rate they have come down to about £50. Worth taking a look.

    Remember that if you buy on eBay or from a web site that you've not heard of before, you may end up with fakes. Be sure to get the name and address before paying and only deal with someone with a satisfactory returns policy. If you pay by credit card or PayPal you have a little extra protection against things going wrong.

    Go for UGG boots. I also have both, but the UGG boots have lasted better (they still look UGG shaped after 2 years!) and are comfier and warmer.

    If you can i would definitely go for the UGG boots. Although the Emu boots are a lot cheaper the difference in quality will surprise you. I think she will be happy with either, however the UGG boots will last a lot longer.

    I hope this is not too late....

    I have both uggs and emu boots, the boots on the link there are not sheepskin but merino wool! If you can I would def go for the ugg boots as they are far superior and you get what you pay for, great quality, so so so comfy boots which will be the only thing you want to wear! They will last for years as appose to any other cheaper versions! I live in my uggs as they are delightful! They really do keep your feet warm when it is cold and cool when it is hot!

    I have been looking for Xmas present. The price difference between Ugg Australia and Emu boots is amazing. Even the amount of stores selling the Emu version at widely different prices.

    Dont want to dissapoint my daughter on Xmas day! Has anyone had both types? Are Ugg Australia worth the extra money? One of my daughter friends has Emu boots so i think she would be happy with them.

    The best price i found for emu boots was on a site called moo-shu.co.uk for £39.99
