    Re: E-loans

I am sending this notification on behalf of Ds Dovaston at Essex Police. We have arrested a male in connection with the frauds associated with the internet websites “EFinance”, EFinance uk”, “Efinance Gb” and “EUFinance”. This male appeared at Basildon Crown Court yesterday for this matter and other similar matters. To date we only have the details of 7 of you, but we know there are many more victims than this. I have already left messages or spoken to the 7 victims we know about.

It may be that you have notified your local police force, and if that is the case please advise us the crime number and we will seek the paperwork from them.

If, however, you have not reported this to the police then please send details including name, address, date of birth, contact telephone numbers, email address, amount of money lost and some proof of the transaction (such as a scan of the confirmation email from the “Efinance” associated website or similar) to the following Email address:

    1039 AT essex.pnn.police.uk

Alternatively you can send them through the post to:

    Ds 1039 DOVASTON

    Police Station

    6-8 Hall Crescent

    Hadleigh

    Essex SS72QW

These details must be received by 7th September 2009, as the male is due to be sentenced 14th September. Anything after 7th September will not be taken into account by the court as we won’t have time to process the information.

I intend to send an email to all those who have provided details once the male has been sentenced with further information. We will automatically seek compensation for the victims, but if the male is given a custodial sentence then the court will not also grant compensation. He is likely to face a prison sentence.

    Thank you.

    Dc 2162 FORD

    Re: E-loans

It looks like this is going from bad to worse. I pointed this forum out to the police when I reported the crime earlier today, and am awaiting an investigating officer calling me back. Perhaps if this becomes a police investigation they will be able to confidentially gather everyone's contact details from the forum? Anyway, I will update you all with any further development.

hmmm its very frustrating that people can be so heartless especially at the time of a deep recession, theres people like us who generally need help, and some find it fun to pry on them.. not nice..one day i will find this guy who runs efinance and boy when I do there will be trouble... hope you all enjoying your weekends!

    Re: E-loans

Yes, I know what you mean. We all expected to get the money we needed, which we won't be getting AND we've also lost the admin fees we had to pay - £75 in my case (£49 + £24).

    Re: E-loans

That's good news. Even if we won't get anything from them, at least there's a chance that they'll be stopped from pulling the same stunt on more people.

    Re: E-loans

ok what we all need to do is write in to the scam busting department at the office of fair trading, so far it is on their database and to actually investigate they need to have a sufficient amount of evidence. The address is on their website but make it out to the scambusting team along with email evidence and a brief description of what has happened.

The annoying thing is though, that they told me that there is no law against people closing down one company and starting a fresh, these guys can make up as many companies as they want, register it, con people, close it down and before there is enough time for anything to be done about, they can close it down to prevent tracing it!!! Very very annoying!!

anyways write in today, send it off today and we might stand a chance of an investigation however the chances of getting any money of this guy is very very slim!!

I may go higher than this and take it to a watchdog to change the law and make people get a license to trade and can't just close and reopen when they feel like it...!!
