I will try to keep this brief...

Through January and February I tried to switch energy provider to EDF. They messed up and took over supply for a neighbouring flat, but it took hours of calls to work this out. In the meantime, they took money from my account as an initial payment (this was on the 26th February)

I was told they would have to investigate and the cash would be refunded to my account within 14 days.

My last call to them was on the 18th March, when they were really snotty with me, I was told that they had issued a cheque on the 12th March to refund my money, but they had posted it to themselves (she told me it was too complicated to explain). I asked her to explain on numerous occasions how this could happen, to no avail. I was offered £40 compensation.

It is now the 24th March and still no cheques

I have emailed customer complaints at EDF and copied it to the energy ombudsman on the off chance that this might stimulate some action. I am now fed up of it and want it resolving. I will not give in. They have taken my money and provided no service, apart from making my life that bit more hassled

Anyone got any further ideas of what to do now?
