Re: driven to suicide by Pipex Tag.

ring pipex on this number 0800 107 6443,give them some bull story, maybe play dumb, dont tell them who you are,and that your just enquiry about a tag on the line, which is there's,just ask them to check

Or maybe make out your a new customer, looking for broadband, they will check your line, and say its blocked ,

You can say,"oh dear,i didnt realise i had broadband, can you tell me who has the tag on the line please"

go here for more info about your line, and run a test,it will tell you exactly who has control over your line

     GOOD Luck

dear babak - do you know about saynoto0870.com. if not put the company or non geographic number in to the serach engine and it should come up with geographic ones. have you tried search terms on this site like 'llu' and 'tag' or on google?

driven to suicide by Pipex Tag.

I signed up to Homecall (Pipex) services (tel & Broadband) about 3 months ago. After 4 days (Well inside their trial period and long before they start my phone or broadband service) I changed my mind and cancelled. Since then I have not been able to subscribe to any other ISP's broadband.

BT Markers & BT wholesale (who are preactically the same department) tell me there's an LLU on the line. They have even given me the circuit id. I was told that it's a Tiscali tag (which I had never even made an inquiry).

Tiscali told me that the Tag belongs to Pipex (who is Tiscali's re-seller). Pipex denies the whole thing, and says there's an "incompatible product". BT again insists it's a LLU.

During the last 60 or more days, I have been treated by all sides like a Tennis ball and have been told the same things over and over again.

I have even called ofcom, but they said they had to authority and I had to make a written complaint to pipex and wait for 12 weeks for their response.

I have spent a huge amount of money calling Tiscali & Pipex's 0870 & 0845 numbers and using dial-up internet. I am thinking about buying a new physical telephone line from BT.

could anyone please help this man on the verge of suicide (i.e. me)?

    B.
