    drive other cars, insurance policy? help

    hi, ive read posts on drive other cars third party, seen my friends do it. but do you have to be 25 and over? im only 21 with 4 years no claims do you know of any insurance groups that will insure me to drive other cars?

    Read your policy. It will probably cover you to drive other cars that don't belong to you but you must have the owner's permission and the owner must have an insurance policy. Most policies include this cover.

    Not quite sure what the big fuss is RE: driving other cars. It is designed for emergency use only. You will not be able to use the extension as you freely think you are able to. You will also find this benefit gradually being taken off the shelf over the forthcoming year, and next year.

    Hi Telford,

    Usually at age 21 you wont have driving other cars.

    Check your certificate of insurance. It will not tell you if you are covered but will tell you if you are not.

    It will say something like "This policy excludes driving other cars"

    If in doubt - phone your insurer.

    does anybody know what companys cover driving over cars on their fully comp policys

    "does anybody know what companys cover driving over cars on their fully comp policys" - I doubt that you'd get anything like that except by getting a motor trader's policy.
