Re: Down right rude at call centre!

Broadband activated on monday.... went out friday and bought a new n class router only to find I couldn't connect (all settings correct)... phoned up blah blah check settings filter cables etc turned out to be a fault with them (Sunday when they admitted it and I got on). Great all day Sunday(Super fast) then Monday speed drops to about 100kbps left a question on there site and it takes 3 days to get back with an answer( saying it was something to do with linespeed settling)even thought its the same line I had with sky(oversubscription more like). To be honest its now 2 months on and everything is ok but the intro and the RUDE call centre guy have put me off for good.

As for Orange I've had my mobile with them for almost 2 years and they've always been great.. bending over backwards to help. Hence the change

I totally agree with previous post. Perhaps you have failed to identify "Yorkshire bluntness", but if what you really want is "less rude rubbish" offshored support then go right ahead.

On the first point, if you experienced "shoddy service" perhaps you could post some examples. Forums are better for being a 2 way street than a one way rant.

Re: Down right rude at call centre!

Firstly the disconnection fee is charged by BT and passed on by Plusnet only if YOU DON'T use a MAC. You are presumably switching to an unbundled line (llu) with HORRANGE so there are physical changes made at your exchange by BT engineers.HORRANGE(and almost all other ISPs) would charge you if you were moving from them under the same circumstances.

As to Customer Services - well in my humble opinion and experience Plusnet are infinitely better than HORRANGE !!

    1. Their Customer Service centre is UK based; try dealing with Mumbai(or points East!) if you have either a technical or billing issue!!!!I've been there and its not good for the blood pressure or bank balance - just search for Orange problems if you don't believe me.

    2. They have an active and extremely helpful public forum which is frequently visited by their Customer Care reps.

If you really have been treated rudely,I suggest you post your story on the Plusnet forum,I'm sure that you will get a polite reply!!

Down right rude at call centre!

Just got off the phone from plusnet and requested a mac code as their service is a bit shoddy to say the least. The guy at the call centre (joe) was very unobliging. I was actualy on a 3 way hookup from orange who I am changing to, when I was returned to her she couldn't believe how he had went on and actually asked are they always that rude when you ring up?

Unfortunately not, they are rude and rubbbish, wishing I hadn't got rid of sky tv now. For the record sky broadband was excelent, hoping for great things from Orange thougn as they are easily the best mobile provider.

Also I know it says rolling monthly contract but watch out for the 25 quid disconnection fee!!

    YORKSHIRE PUDDING ?
