Another disgruntled customer also used the phrase, 'avoid like the plague' perhaps you would care to leave a review in the same guide as a way of warning others.

Don't touch this company with a bargepole

"Insure Your Motor" - or perhaps they should be called "We Won't Insure Your Motor"!

    insureyourmotor.com

They came up as the cheapest for me on the comparison websites. My circumstances are pretty ordinary. I signed up, they took my financial details and then, where other companies insure you immediately thereafter, this outfit doesn't. They ring you back "within half and hour [actually an hour] to confirm your details". The ring back involves you repeating everything you've already entered online, they then "assess" it and, wait for it .. "will ring back in half an hour". This happened three times, and the upshot was, because I had a couple of speeding offences (which I disclosed online), the price suddenly went up by a factor of 2.5! But to me this sounded like an excuse. Initially they said they were going to decline me because I'd had a company cancel a policy. Not true. "Oh sorry, I was looking at a name very similar to yours".

Other points about them: they ring you back from a mobile number. They let it ring once then hang up (obviously hoping you will then ring THEM back). Their call centre is obviously using mobiles and you can hardly understand a word they say.

Avoid them like the plague. At best they will waste a great deal of your time. Heaven knows what they would be like if you had a claim.
