We've seen an awful lot of complaints about TT.Touch wood I have been happy since I changed my phone to them. But Broadband...was so tempted but all these horror stories have put me off for whatever saving I may have made.No thanks.

Sorry to hear of your problems and I am sure someone ,in the know, will offer some advice to help you resolve the problem.

Welcome to the malarky !! ;-)

Don't join talktalk....unless you like being able to NOT talk

Now I'm not normally one for this kind of forum malarky but I wanted to ensure you don't fall into the same trap I did by thinking that a phone with free broadband was a good idea!  I joined talktalk very recently (March) and everything was going fine until they actually tried to connect the broadband line when they have now crossed my phone with some poor old OAP, who is wondering why he keeps calling his wife and speaking to me!  I kid you not!

Now, normally this sort of thing would make me laugh and the company would sort it.  Boy was I dillusional if I thought talktalk would resolve it.  It will be one week today that I have a phone I can't use, and hey presto, no broadband, and no estimated date for it to be fixed (their SLA is 72 hours which passed a long time ago).  I can't even speak to anyone who can give me an answer.  And when I finally switched back to BT today the account closing team told me that they've been having major exchange issues which means they have a huge backlog of faults to get through.  At least she was honest!  But it's frightening that they can't even get phones to work......aren't they in the telecommunications business......hmmm...can't quite say my experience with them has proven that.

Anyway, the long and the short of it is - if you want a service that actually works, customer service staff who actually answer the phone (and not disconnect you - they seem to be quite bad at actually working phones themselves), and good value and no hassle - DON'T SWITCH TO TALKTALK.  Because as I found, you certainly won't be doing much talking or surfing with their phone and broadband service!
