    Complain to Trading Standards.

    Did the letter from Tiscali state their full company name (Tiscali UK Ltd) , company number, registered business address and place of registration? They must put that information in ALL letters and emails, but often don't. Failure to do so is a breach of the Companies Act 2006 punishable by a fine. Again, complain to Trading Standards.

    No surpise here - how do you spell TISCALI - I'll tell you P - I - P - E - X and you only have to read that forum to see what this bunch of idiots is like.

    DONT GO NEAR TISCALI

    I am currently with Tiscali and had been for the past 2 years. I was happy with the service I received until I decided to change to another provider due to a better deal.

    I initially phoned up at the start of this year to enquire about cancelling and was told that as I had been with them over a year there was no cancellation period and could just cancel straight away. Would take a few days to clear line as with others but no period of notice.
    The provider I was looking at going to couldnt accept the MAC code as I was on an LLU loop so would take longer to change. Had to wait for a time when didnt need internet and then phoned Tiscali to cancel.
    Spoke to the cancellation department who said I was not on an LLU loop, even with me telling them I was! Apparently checked my file and I wasnt on an LLU loop. Contacted the other provider who confirmed that I was so recalled Tiscali. This time I was told I was on an LLU loop but I had to give 30 days notice to cancel. Complained to the person on the phone as I was told before didnt need to. I was given a reference number and told they would listen to my previous calls and if I had been told this they would look to cancel my account straight away. I waited to hear back but didnt so called them again. Was told that they couldnt just listen back to my calls and I had to email the complaints department and they could do it.
    So I compiled an email covering all the points of my complaint. I received a prompt email back saying that it was nothing to do with them it was the cancellation department that dealt with it. If I was still not happy to write a letter!
    So basicaly after numerous phone calls, being put from department to department speaking to people who seemed not to know their **** from their elbow, being told lie after lie, writing emails etc I am no further forward and having to wait the 30 days!

    I for one will never go near Tiscali again and would advise anyone else to keep well clear. No one at the company seem to have any idea of what they are doing and has to be the worst customer service I have ever encountered.

    Save yourselves the pain and cost I have had and avoid them like the plague!!!!!
