I have (and still am having) the worst possible service from any company, ever. I have been a customer with Tiscali now for over a year, and had not had any major problems until now. Small blips in the service were relatively quickly resolved (approx 24/48hrs).
I decided to upgrade to a faster broadband connection with the Tiscali talk package as it seemed a fantastic price over a month ago now (beginning of jan08) and I have had no Broadband since.
I have had promises of calls back it must be over 20 times now, to receive only 3. I have been accused that the problem is my end more than once, when I have had a private computer engineer (at my cost) called out, to tell me that there is NOTHING wrong, my router, pc, filter etc are all working perfectly fine.
On conveying this information back to Tiscali (at the expense of yet another phone call), they informed me that there was a problem at the exchange and that my case had been moved to high priority. It is still 'high priority' after more than three weeks. No phone calls. Still no service.
Yesterday, on yet another phone call, they wanted me to rip up my carpets to take the lead (brand new might I add) from the filter to the modem and swap the ends as that was the problem!!! After I refused to do this they said the problem was the exchange (AGAIN). They said there are thousands of people having problems from this exchange and it was being checked by the engineers.
I'm going through the same thing every time I ring up now - and I must have called 50+ times.
I plan to leave this week as I dont wish to wait any longer for promises that never happen. Is anyone else in the Norwich area having these problems? I have contacted Which and Watchdog about this, but feel I can do no more other than leave.
