went to bank for a loan of 6000 to pay off credit cards. bank was happy i can afford it and when went to the credit search i got declined! Bank said they didnt know why as they are happy that i can afford it.

Over a year ago i put a password on my credit report due to yes loans keep searching it all the time. The lenders who I ask to search are ment to put in a password to be able to search it. However, they didnt need to.

If you have somehow denied the loan companies access to your credit record, then of course they will not entertain your applications.

Probably a good idea to remove this password access, since this may be causing the problem.

I haven't denied then access, they need to supply a password to access it. I have taken the password off now, but they haven't searched my credit report. Creditexpert said I should go back to my bank and appeal. checked my credit rating and they both are good.
