    Debt reduction - Loan Advice

Hi all, i'm new to the forum and was looking for some advice.

I currently have the following loans and credit cards that i was looking to consoladate into the one loan:

    Halifax Loan - approx £5,000 outstanding - 177p/m

    BoS Loan - approx £4,000 outstanding - 184p/m

    Virgin card - approx £5,000. - 200 p/m

While i have been able to make the monthly payments no problems and have never missed one i feel it really tight towards the end of the month. I am able to pay the bills no probs but leave myself short towards th month and sometimes end up putting extra on a credit card. While i do try to live within my means there's sometimes unexpected expense comes up.

I have been thinking about taking a £16,000 loan out over 7 years to pay off everything which would reduce my monthly payments to around £230 over the 7 years instead of the £561 i pay just now, meaning i would be less likley to inccur more debt as i would have more free cash during the month.

I think i have a good credit rating and wondered if it is possible to do this and if any banks/companies specialised in this kind of thing? I am looking to avoid any kind of agreement or debt management as i don't want to damage my credit rating. I am also woried about applying to a number of companies and being declined which could also damage my credit rating.

Has anyone did anything similar to this before, which companies are best to go with?

    Regards, Steven
