I have a loan at the moment with Northern Rock and I want to pay off some credit card debts. I can't top up the loan with NR and so I was wondering whether to try and get a second loan just to pay off the cards and overdraft but not sure that's the best way to do it. I've been looking at balance for life transfer cards but am wary about applying for cards as I have three already plus a store card and only applied for a Halifax card in March. The credit limit they gave me wasn't enough to help me with paying off other cards and so I'm stuck with a third card that's not really any good to me. Does anyone have any suggestions?
