Although I consider that my husband and I are fairly comfortable, we have seen our wages being stretched to the limit by the increasing costs of food, petrol and utilities. The government should learn that they need to lead from the top. Do away with their big fuel guzzling cars, a 1.2 does the job just as good. Let them have small wage rises and why do we have to pay for their second homes!, most of us are only to grateful if we get one. All 3 parties are the same, they all promise that they will do better than the one before, but once they get into power all those promises fly out the window. Its about time that the people of Britain stood up and said enough is enough.

I'm really not happy with the way inflation is calculated. Council tax? Nope. Petrol? Nope! Real cost of utilities? Nope. The Government can't keep cooking the books and claim only 2.5% inflation. Wages are then matching that figure when the real number is probably nearer 10%
