Credit reports being accessed by landlords

I have seen my own credit report online at the Credit Report web site http://www.creditreport.co.uk but cannot find the answer to my question anywhere on their site. The credit agency services do not make it clear whether landlords are able to access credit reports on their tenants. Does anyone know exactly what landlords are able to search about tenants?

Hi -- Yes, landlords are entitled to see a prospective tenants credit report, scroll down the Eqifax link.

Generally when reference's are being taken your landlord will have this reviewed. I wouldn't expect them to view it again unless you re-sign your tenancy.

Thanks. I assume that whoever does the search must ask for permission.
