    Re: credit rating

    Hi Dan

You need to do a credit check on yourself and request your credit score, this will give you an idea of what type of risk you are as it rates it as poor, good, very good or excellent along with a number/score. If it is only a couple of payments missed and you cleared the cards in full I don't think you would have much of a problem. As long as you are honest with the lender (take your credit report with you) and your score is not very low you will not lose anything by trying, if you are rejected then you need to look for a lender who lends to what they would class as a high risk, you will find loads of them online. Unfortunately this is at a higher interest rate, once you have paid this for a couple or three years you can then go back to the high street lenders and get a mortgage with them.
