    If you find it impossible to get any kind od debit/credit card why don't you try the pre-paid cards for your holiday this should resolve the car hire issue. use the search facility on this website to find the best one for you

    yeah,  but i cant even get a debt card. its mental!

    If you start making your loan repayments on time this should start to help you credit rating. If you earn £20K a year then you should be entitled to a full service current account with a debit card - you should switch from Nationwide!

    If a cc is a no no won't they take a debit card if necessary with a driving licence/passport as id?

    hi, i think my rating must be bad if i have been refused a credit card from capital one and vanquis. i got 1 arrears some time ago which i have contested, and because i have applied to several companies for a loan or credit card i now seem to have even more bad credit! luck has it when i contacted you 2 weeks ago for a loan, welcome finance has now helped me so thank you very much. but i need a credit card now to try and build my ratings up, my finances are very good with about £20,000 a year spare so dont think i cant afford it, , i can only get a cash card, before you say why dont i get a mastercard/visa/solo! i have tried that to. i bank with nationwide and wont give me an upgrade on my account. because we are going to france for a holiday the car rental say you must have a creditcard/ or master /visa.  can you please help?
