I want to tax my car ASAP and want to get an insurance with cover note online.

I know swiftcover do only online policies and I can print one after ordering but they are not cheapest. I already got one for a friend and it works perfectly and accepted in PO.

Tesco is cheapest but my question is, do I get a cover note immedietely after purchasing to print off?

I had a Tesco insurance 3 years ago and it had a cover note that I printed and used. Not sure about now.

I tried privilege last night but they refused a cover note so had to cancel.

think you're going to struggle to be honest. Swiftcover are the pnly company i am aware of that are 100% online

Your best bet may be to set up a policy a couple of days in advance and wait for the cert in the post

...Or You could just fo your car tax online, not sure of the site, although I know for a fact you can do it!

good idea but once you set up a new policy it can take upto 30days to go onto the database!

Most of the time you are added to the MID almost immediately. Also, ask your insurer if they can offer you guaranteed mailing. It will probably cost extra but means your documents will be with you by 12 midday the next working day.

Since I bought the car already last night I had to do something ASAP.

Online tax does not work with new car buyers.
So I went with SwiftCover and just got my tax disc from PO now.
