    You should contact Sainsburys Bank and offer to pay £8400. You might consider offering to pay the total less the court costs if things can be settled before the court date. You will need to find a reason to offer anything less.

    Hello,

    I am helping my brother:

    He received papers from Northampton County Court for £8,400 in respects to a defaulted loan from Sainsburys bank. I have the N9A to complete, admitting it is his debt - he isn't contesting any of that.

    However, he wants to make an offer for full and final settlement. How does he do this? Is it too late now? If not who does he contact and how and what would you suggest is a reasonable amount to offer?

    Any advice greatly appreciated.
