One year I made my own chocolate truffles/boxs, for grandparents and they loved them. Cost about £2 a box.

Great idea Mr Big and thanks for raising this.

My presents will be few (baby son, wife, mother-in-law, mother and father) and the whole lot has a budget which is a cash amount for all to spend. Once it's gone, it's gone. It's less than £200 in total.

The cards we print from my work system and I encourage my staff to do the same. Any money saved over the period goes into the 'pot' for a charity which we choose in the next few days. I close the business down on 21 December and do not open it again until Jan 4.

This year may be the last for us - depending on the outcome of various things, but we hope matters may improve.

Best gift! A smile and a hug that is meant from the heart.

    SHARK!

Dont really pay much attention to ebay these days...too much bad press and too many conmen operating about on that site.

If you gonna buy stuff from site like ebay, you might aswell buy from the shops that sell em

Plus if you gonna sell stuff, its easier to sell it on market stalls or go to a cash converters place.

Re: Cost Cutting Idea's for Xmas Prezzies. How will you do it?

    Hi all

My cost cutting idea is shop on ebay! There are so many different things on it and you dont have to leave home to do it.

Also why not make some money at the same time and sell any unwanted items or last years gifts that weren't really your thing.

Job done. Sell on ebay and the money you make buy gifts on ebay, that way your not spending a penny :-)

    Any 1 else?

    no thanks!!

there is a lot more to becoming a jehovah's witness than just avoiding xmas.

you cant accept blood transfusions if you convert to that cult/religion,so be prepared for that if you ever convert and have to visit hospital

can we get back to proper ways of cost cutting please!!
