For an unbias list of all insurers who can provide insurance to people with convictions, visit UNLOCK, the National Association of Reformed Offenders. They are a charity who help people with previous convictions, and insurance has been one of their main areas of work.

    Hello there,

Well if the conviction was arson or fraud related it will be very hard to get cover. Otherwise try:

www.deliteinsurance.co.uk or www.bestdealinsurance.co.uk they are more sympathetic.

    Regards,

    Paul

Contents Insurance with a criminal record

Hi, I have been trying to get home contents insurance for a while now with my partner. We have bought a property together but no one will insure us because he has one conviction that ended in a fine only. This conviction was less than five years ago. Can anyone help? Can you recommend an insurance company that will insure us?
