hels55 - I know i can put a dispute in with Coop Visa / paid £400 via her Coop Visa Debit card

hels - You are disputing this under the Vsa chargeback scheme you have 120 days to lodge the claim, if the Co-op did try to fob you off because it was not a credit card payment.

It is a different scheme to S75 of the consumer credit act which covers credit cards.... the Visa chargeback scheme is lesser known and voluntarily operated by banks but it does exist and certain banks will either be unaware of the scheme or simply try to fob you off.

If you meet strong resistance to obtaining a refund, take the case to a manager or supervisor at your bank.

thanks for that Huckster, i finally got an email back from this Sarah at 12:42 saying she had sent the items last thurs, DHL... i asked her again for the tracking number and she has not replied and this was over two hours ago.

DHL (i called them) said that all parcels have a tracking number and are delivered the next day so if not Thurs then it would have been today....

Will give trading standards a call now, im really grateful for the help and advice.

    Hi,

I'd phone the co-op and get them to cancel the transaction immediately, explain that you have tried to contact the company to cancel the order but that they won't respond.

    Concerns Over Possibly Fraudulant Transaction

    Hello

My mum made an order for wallpaper from a company called Alston Interiors - Bolton. They advertise in the Ideal Homes magazine and have a website etc.

My mum ordered some wallpaper to the tune of £400 two weeks ago, paid £400 via her Coop Visa Debit card and they seem to have gone awol....

They dont answer the phone, they have different mobiles and land line numbers and i have just seen a post on another thread saying that they have done this before and another customer is issueing them with court proceedings.

What can i do? I know i can put a dispute in with Coop Visa for the payment but as far as this terrible rogue company, can i call the police? etc.

Please help, my mother is frantic with worry as this is a lot of money
