    changing suppliers

Iam in the middle of changing suppliers. But having problems i have a prepayment meter and i have storage heaters but i only use one and i turn my hot water of during the day. The problem is the company iam trying to go with is saying i have 2 meters, so i gave them 2 supply numbers for them. I think i have economy 7 because my hot water comes on when iam in bed. but they still say iam may be on a different tarrif and i get cheap electric through the day and at weekends which i find this hard to believe. They said its called total heating with total control. So basically at the moment i cant change my supplier for some reason unless i change my meter to economy 7. My neighbour has the same house and probably uses more heaters than me with a prepayment meter and he changed to e.on with no problem. does anyone have advise on this

    Re: changing suppliers

Your current supplier (or their bills) should tell you if you are currently on economy 7. If so, there will be one meter with two readings on it and it will be straightforward to change supplier. There are other similar tariffs that are indeed hard to swap around though.
