Thanks Paul and Paul47423 for your replys, I suppose that explains the reasons as to why, unfortunately Scottish Hydro didn`t inform me that they were closing this on 28/12/07 which is a pity as I was away after Xmas over the New Year and have now missed my chance, Oh well, will have to look and see who is best now. A Happy New Year to you all.

    Re: Changing supplier

Cavalier, we were originally advised by the supplier that their price fix 2008 product was to be withdrawn on the 21st December. Late on the 20th we were advised that the product was to be kept live until the 28th December. Unfortunately we were unable to comply with this request during the Xmas/New Year period and we therefore had to remove the product on the 21st December as per the original request. We explained our position to both the supplier and Energywatch. I am sorry that you were unable to apply for this particular product on the Moneysupermarket site over the Xmas period. Paul

    Re: Changing supplier

    Morning cavalier,

I'm sure the experts will reply in the New Year. I'm too looking forward to changing supplier but with the proposed rise in power supplies I'm waiting to January to see what the companies will do. IMO changing now if you've never done it before is good but like me if you've changed before savings are not as great hence the wait and see approach.

    Happy New year,

    Paul

    Changing supplier

Hi guys, this was actually a question for Paul Schofield, hope I`m in the correct place. I came to moneysupermarket to change suppliers for 2 households. I was going to change to Scottish Hydro Price Fix 2008 as it has been getting rave reviews. Alas it was not shown on your comparison tables but all other Scottish Hydro tariffs were. All other comparison websites ie Energyhelpline, Uswitch etc are still showing this tariff, I therefor called Scottish Hydro on Xmas Eve to enquire and they inform me the tariff is still available and asked if I wanted to switch now. I was curious to find out why M/Supermarket are no longer showing this tariff
