I have a debt after my return from travelling which I have contacted CCCS for assistance in setting up a repayment plan.

Like many of you, this is something I didn not do off my own back a few years ago, hence the debt.

I am desperate to hear of any of you who have used CCCS.

    1. In hindsight, was it the best option given your circumstances?

    2. Are there any negative factors, especially damage to your credit score that effects mortgages etc?

    3. Were you unable to live on the suggested repayment plan?

My main problem is I am still looking for work so until I get a job nailed down, I would imagine this option is not applicable

Really appreciate any feedback on your dealings with CCCS

    Cheers

hi Pixie09, I can share my experience with cccs and it is really very good. the reason why you need to write a proper expense plan is to have enough money to live on after you paid your mortgage/rent, all utilities, taxes, insurance, food, clothing, travel etc. after you've done the plan with them you'll have a bit of time to reflect on it.

truth be told, there is no other way to get out of debt if you don't exactly know your outgoings. some of us didn't learn to think about it early enough - I'm was of them! so doing this expenditure plan is actually a really good experience and makes you think about how you use your money. but the bottom line is that cccs are really good at it and don't want you to commit to repaying too much and leaving your family in difficulties.

    good luck with your interview!

Hi i was wondering if anyone had any advice, ive recently contacted CCCS about a DMP and i have my phone interview/conversation(?) booked for next week to go through all of my expenses.

They told me i would need to be really precise and list things like bus fare, lunch money etc im just panicking that if i do this and agree a plan and im still not left with enough money how flexible are they?? I'm writing my expenses list and trying not to forget anything but can i change it at a later date or is it set in stone? I really want to get sorted and pay my debts but i would also like a bit of a life too. Any advice or experiences??
