Re: e2save problem - Is there anybody there??

You could have found their address out by asking them in your many phone calls - it wont have changed!:

    E2SAVE.COM LIMITED
3R House, Belton Road West Extension, Belton Road Industrial Estate, Loughborough, Leicestershire, LE11 5XH.

The Managing Director is/was Andrew Heddle but send it to him anyway. If the freephone numbers don't appear to be working, then use the landline options but there is no need to call them every day - you are wasting your own money.

The letter on the other link is for that person problem, you MUST change this to talk about your problem. Do you still want the contract and phone? If not, say you are "cancelling the contract because of the long delay in providing the service. You are "within your rights to cancel given you have paid for a service and not received it". If you do want to keep the contract going, state that "if you do not receive the phone within 10 days (of writing the letter), you expect all your money to be reimbursed". They want your custom, so they will get your phone to you asap.

Stop calling them and write the letter to them, send it to the address provided and wait until you get what you want or the deadline has passed for them sorting it out.

Re: e2save problem - Is there anybody there??

Matifiub, I have written a standard letter for another foreigner who has given a hefty deposit and not received the proper service:

    http://www.moneysupermarket.com/community/forums/t/need-some-advises-on-getting-my-money-back-from-e-18927.aspx?Source=COMMS

Although slightly different in circumstance, you are not getting what you have paid for. If you call again, don't use the premium line number - go on to "Say no to 0870" website and get landline and freephone numbers for E2SAVE.

You CANNOT post personal details here or you will get the whole post DELETED!

    Try
    The Carphone Warehouse
    The Office of Charles Dunstone
    1 Portal Way
    North Acton
    London
    W3 6RS

    or cdunstone AT cpw.co.uk

Charles Dunstone is the Chief Exec (although whether it'll actually be him that this gets through to I don't know...) of CPW.

Re: Carphone Warehouse - Is there anybody there??

    Hi Gamine,

PLEASE PLEASE can you let me know how you get/got on. I have been e-mailing them since October regarding an issue where there will not cancel my contracts and to date have racked up over £900 of charges. They never sent me anything either, apparently according to their customer services they don't have too once it has been referred to a debt collector, seems to me a very dishonest way of obtaining money. They are lying cheats and my next step is legal action because they are just so incompetent. I would advise everyone to never use them, it seems once you have a contract you have to pay it forever. Service is lousy and so are the products.

If anyone can help PLEASE PLEASE post it on here.

    Thanks

Re: Carphone Warehouse - Is there anybody there??

the bigger they are the lousier they are, you will see in a few years that CPW will turn out the worst of the lot.

the only thing on your side is that they have the resources for now, so you can take the benefit of the county court system.

my phone and it's replacement were both faulty, it is a numbers game.

i await my refund of the postages, and if i were CPW i would possibly refund contract value on a pro rata basis.

Re: Carphone Warehouse - Is there anybody there??

    Hi Gamine

I'm sorry to hear that you are still having problems with CPW. I was very close to taking legal action but, as you can see from the thread, my dispute was eventually resolved. My credit rating was also affected but was corrected when the dispute was settled.

I should think you have alread tried to contact Louise (mentioned earlier in thread) but if not do give it a go- she managed to speak to the right people to get it sorted for me.

Good luck - let me know how you get on.

    Looby

Re: Carphone Warehouse - Is there anybody there??

Sorry to ressurect an old thread... as you can see I last posted problems with CPW back in April when I heard from Bailiffs about a bill I'd never received and didn't think I owed.  I heard nothing from CPW after the matter was referred back to them until I was refused a loan a couple of weeks ago.  Upon checking with Equifax I discovered that CPW are still racking up black marks against my name.

After an 18 month saga I am furious and getting nowhere fast.  Has anyone on here taken legal action against CPW?  I'd be interested to hear anyone's comments.

    Thanks for reading.

You show a lack of orthodoxy for a documentary maker.

Re: Carphone Warehouse - Is there anybody there??

Well, this carphone warehouse employee based in Nowrich has missed the
point; I bet for this particular dispute, its not the existence of the
charges that are the cause of complaint now, but the brazenly
unprofessional, lying, dishonest thievery  that operates within
the terminals of CPW. I have just spent considerable time reading all
the threads on this board, for I will be doing a documentary on CPW
intended for release at summer film festivals in 2008. If anyone would
like to volunteer themselves for interview, please dont hesitate to
mention on these boards, and I will contact you in due course. I too
have been ripped off by CPW, and there is nothing (not even the helpful
Louise) that can compromise the unethical fortitude of this globally
corrupt company. I hope that our man in Nowrich runs into these
problems; he might understand that the stress caused by the deployment
of debt collectors for internal errors are not made easier by the
'helpful' explanation of how internet charges might be accrued. I think
our man with the complaint probably guessed how they might have been
stacked, sir, so now trying being 'helpful' by re-organising your
    customer service.Good luck.
