I dont think there is any law about disclosure of this, dpa and all. But you will find most on garages are ex hire cars or fleet. Enterprise will of been well looked after though.

... but you weren't told it wasn't a hire car. My opinion is that, unless there is a serious fault or the mileage reading isn't correct, you should keep the car. It's worth contacting the dealer to see if they feel different. Some dealers do offer a no-quibble return policy, others don't. Your best option is to appeal to their decency.

Under certain circumstances, the law allows you to change your mind within 7 days of taking delivery with no penalty.

    Car purchase

please can you tell me the time limit when you purchase a car and your not happy with it. i have had a car for11 days and just recieved the log book and found out it was a hire car. i was told it had one owner so i was pleased. if i knew it was a hire car i would not have bought it. the company that sold it to me vauxall . just said he did not know the name of last owner so i think he was avoiding saying it was a hire car..ps" enterprise rent a car"were the last owners. i am really annoyed. we have just recieved the log book to-day..regards susan
