Re: Car insurance; Honesty is the best policy.

Yes, I feel that UK personal Insurers are currently under the spotlight which is a good thing. The OFT are currently looking into the rising cost of Insurance, but I am not confident this will tackle the issues raised. I am afraid there are now too many people involved in making money from claims e.g personal injury firms, car hire/accident management companies. The Insurers did not help themselves, by getting involved in making money from referral fees.

It would be interesting whether the OFT look at Car Insurance premiums elsewhere in the world, to see how the UK compares. At one time it was certainly cheaper to arrange Insurance on EU mainland, as EU nationals temporarily working in the UK, were still Insuring their cars using their old addresses back at home. This may still be the case, as I still see plenty of foreign registered cars on the road, which have been in the UK for longer than 6 months. I thought that if they were in the UK for longer than 6 months they had to register their cars with DVLA.

Car insurance; Honesty is the best policy.

Just to reassure you that you are in safe hands and to dispel rumours that the banks have now taken over the insurance industry.

Today, 18th January 2012, your government appointed regulator has fined two household name insurance companies a total of 2.17 million pounds. These companies, Direct line and Churchill are wholly owned by Royal Bank of Scotland.

They managed to alter or manipulate ( ?? ) 27 claim documents out of a total of 50, they submitted ( by appointment) to the FSA. Now thankfully because it was only 55% of the submitted items, the FSA are happy to reassure us that the 'changes were only minor'. Cor that's a relief. 23 out of 50 must have been well covered !!!!

In order to maintain its' good name the car insurance industry, have agreed to continue to infiltrate household names and maintain their disguise. Thus not alarming the public.

HSBC do not wish to draw attention to their ownership / partnership of Marks and Spencer Financial Service or John Lewis financial services. Each of whom operate the insurance services with their select partners within the Car Insurance industry.
    ( very selective partners ).

Please remember to have confidence in your insurance provider, continue to pay the commission fees, the referral fees, and be ready to be pestered by our chosen 'legal representatives', car hire companies and anyone else we can get money from.

We had it tough when we were discovered back in 2008, misleading & ripping people off, it has taken us some effort to now
hold such a commanding position in the insurance business. That's why we don't use our known names, we prefer to rent names from supermarkets and other companies that can hide our identity.

Remember poor old Fortis now Ageas, they have even linked up with good old Age uk. ( a charity !!!).

Up there for thinking boys, the customer will never find out til it's too late, then we'll refer them to the policy................

Now don't forget as clearly outlined in your policy, if you are at fault NEVER ADMIT IT, integrity and honesty don't be daft.

By the way, next time you report your accident, please use expressions such as " another vehicle suddenly appeared"
(We won't ask where it appeared from nudge nudge ) but more importantly when you first make contact us just say the chosen words, " Another vehicle collided with mine". Don't say anymore, nothing at all, it's a code we use hint hint !!!!

Now go about your duties and remember.......... it's only minor. Nothing to do with cheating, dishonesty, falsehood or deception.

P.S. that 2.17 million pounds........ the tax payer owns RBS, so who will pay the fine ???? Tee Hee we covered that !!!

    Land of Hope and Glory.
