Hi all,

So i'm living in Australia for a year (still have UK residency though). I'm coming back for 3 weeks in march and need to borrow a relative's car to get around.

My question is, can i arrange short term insurance through an insurer of my choosing (and therefore have both myself and my relative insured on the same car through different insurers - not sure if this is allowed), or do i have to be added to his policy as an additional driver? Or is there a better option?

Any advice would be appreciated.
