    Re: Car Insurance

    Hi

Unfortunately with less than a years no claims discount and 2 accidents you will be seen to the insurer as a high risk, however although you can't avoid a higher premium there are some things you can do to keep it as low as possible, such as

Keeping the car in the garage and fitting/using an alarm and imobiliser as savings can be made by having extra security in place

Be honest when calculating your annual mileage, many people just go for 12,000 annual miles when in reality you may do less, insurers will charge less the fewer miles you do

Consider opting for a high voluntary excess, by doing this you elect to pay more out should you need to claim, therefore meaning there's less risk to the insurance company

Finally when buying your policy check that extras such as legal cover, breakdown cover, courtesey car have not been pre-selected for you, as this will only add to your premium (although you may want these elements of cover but breakdown can be bought considerably cheaper as a standalone product).

Good luck and I hope this helps

    Re: Car Insurance

There is an insurance broker calld Allen & Allen Group who have various trading names (sorry can't remember them) but they specialise in high risk car insurance for all areas such as high claims, convictions, high performance cars etc. They are meant to be very competitive.

Just has a look and the various arms of the company are found on their website...http://www.allenandallengroup.com/

Haven't had the need to try them so not sure what prices are like but worth a go - Good Luck!

Have you tried an insurance broker - there are still a few around and many offer better deals than can be found on the internet - especially for drivers with non-pristine records!

If you need help try looking at www.biba.org.uk - their organisation to find a local one.

There isnt a definite answer to this, as different companies work out better for different people.

Suggest you just keep ring round to get the best deal.  Sites like MS which search a number of other companies at once will speak this process.
