Try doing a search on the MS loans search engine.  It allows you to enter in your credit historyu, and comes up with a list of companies who may offer a loan based on that history.

Also try your own bank - they often have more leeway if your history with them hasnt been totally shot.

Finally, try lowering your sites to a car for only a few hundred, which you can then maintain yourself (I found a fiesta easy to work on when I first started driving).

We desperately need a car but due to my OH extremely adverse credit we have been refused finance. Does anyone have any ideas who would be willing to allow us finance, my OH works full time. We live in a semi-rural area and are finding it hard without transport. Also my mother-in-law is quite ill and it is causing my OH a lot of stress as he has no means to get thereto see her.

 We would be grateful for any ideas.
