Take out some UK and Irish breakdown cover just in case he is telling the truth and the car will not start and run, then go unannounced across to Ireland armed with the spare keys (order one if he took both) and borrow it back in the early hours of the morning, take all your documents V5 etc.. in case he wakes up & the authorities are called.

If it only drives a short distance and breaks down before getting you back to the ferry, then ring the breakdown company to get you onto the ferry and hopefully home.....no more Mrs. Nice Girl. : -- )

Looking back it was a v stupid thing to do but as the nice person i am i helped out my bf get his car. The finance is in my name and he made the first few payments now he is now living in the Republic of Ireland & has taken the car & is saying he can't afford to pay me as the engine has gone and he needs to find £2k for that first!

The v5 document is actually in my name - where the heck do i stand?
