You should certainly ask for an explanation.

Remember that, unless your agreement allows it, you will still be expected to make a payment after the car has been handed back and that payment is usually more than you would owe if you sold the car yourself with permission.

i bought a car, and was wanting to hand it back to the finance company, but when i read the details on the actual agreement, it had a different registration number on my paperwork, can you tell me is this something illegal they are doin?
