    Re: Cancelling with Tiscali :(

    Good Morning

I can sympathise and understand your frustration regarding the issues you have raised. I work in the broadband sector and this is an all to common problem that occurs on a daily basis. The advice that I give to our customers is to ring the BT tag line. They are very helpful in this situation and can give you all sorts of information regarding your telephone line and can remove any tags that do exist on the line at your request. More importantly if a cancellation order has been raised by a supplier, in your case this would be Tiscali, they can tell you the date your line will be clear. This can take anything from 24 hours to 15 Days. The number you need to call is 0800 169 9576 option 2 and option 2 again.

    Hope this helps

    Cancelling with Tiscali :(

Hi. I wanted to join Tiscali so I signed up for broadband and phone but then had a change of mind. Luckily it was within the 14 day cool off period after signing up. So I called the cancellation line and spoke to a guy who asked me the usual questions and confirmed that I was on the last day of the cooling off period so there would be no problems. A few days later I got an email saying the modem was on its way to me, so I called, explained and another guy told me that he would cancel things now and that it would be fine no problems etc. So the modem arrived (and I still have it unopened) and then I called BT (last week) to see if my phoneline was back with them. Was it ? No, but they could sort it out for me but it would take 2 weeks. Great.

I have received no paperwork confirming my cancellation with Tiscali and I am wondering if they have cancelled it and if not then why !?! Also, does anyone have any suggestions about what I can do if it hasnt been cancelled ? Thanks
