    canceling virgin media package.

I phoned virgin media to cancel my package (broadband, tv and phone) they have said that if i stay i can have all three for £27.95 a month (tv size XL and broadband size m) Is this a good deal. They are knocking £22.50 a month off my bill if i stay with them! Could i get a better deal anywhere else, like 02, talk talk etc

    Hi Linda.

I have just cancelled that exact package from Virgin Media after months of complaints. What Virgin Media probably didn't tell you is that the cost of £27.95 is what you will be paying AFTER they have deducted £22.50 off of your bill and is on condition that you stay with them for another 12 months. This is the arguement i had with them, i changed my package in January and they did not tell me that i had actually entered another 12 month contract and that it would cost me over £250 to get out of. I finally threatened court and legal proceedings and they did eventually cancel it, I have cancelled all services with them as i have found they have got to be the worst provider out there. The call centres are all foreign and you can not understand a word they say the bills are very confusing its just terrible. I would urge you to find an alternative. I know my in laws are very happy with talk talk.

    Claudia
