    maxsteam:You obviously didn't give the answer that was wanted. I believe what is wanted is a machine to generate top grades without the need to study (either the syllabus or the manual for the machine).

    I could have sworn I replied to this question!

    I said that we use the TI-Nspire and was told that he could not use this ...

    I then gave out the TI-84 or 89 depending on what was wanted and that was that ... how many times do people ask the same question I wonder?

    There are some very powerful graphical calculators around that can tackle complicated problems. However, in my view, it is often easier (and certainly more useful) to learn how to solve problems without such calculators than to learn how to use these calculator to solve problems.

    Graphical calculators are banned by some school examination boards so check the details on this before spending money buying one and time learning to use it.
