My mother died and left me her house which is next door to me but stated in her will that my eldest son could live there as long as he wishes. My son's wife left him and now on low income, he cant afford to pay for the contents insurance although I have been paying the buildings insurance for the last 13 years, there is no one that will let me insure the contents as well. I do not charge my son rent so I have no tenancy agreement. I pay building insurance on the property of £28 a month which seems a lot to me considering that on my own property it only costs me £20 a month and that is for contents included. Is there anywhere that will allow me to pay for building and contents on the property that I own next door to me?
