    You can do this online with most companies, where in the quote it asks about ownership of the home one of the options is Mortgaged. If you select this when you accept the quote it will ask you the details of your mortgage and will then issue documents with the "Interest" (Noting who your mortgage is with and the details) noted, you can then give this to your solicitor or send to Bristol and West.

    You will need to arrange this over the telephone with an insurance broker or a insurance company, online applications assume that both named applicants are actually people who reside in the property not a company (lender).......they do not have the facility to accept the lenders details.

    Building insurance policy - Bristol & West to be named as joint insured party

    Hello,

    I'm trying to get a quote for building insurance for the property purchased as first time buyer and I have been asked by my lender to added them as joint insured party. when i try to get quote, there the is a field for joint application, but it comes up with extra details like DateofBirth, Sex, etc., and does not allow me to proceed further until i fill this...can some help?
