I haven't needed to use any sort of address so I'm afraid I can't help you there. :(

Surely the BT Engineers will suggest something else if you speak to them. If you aren't getting the speeds promised for your area, it has to be a problem on their part?

I used the standard VPI - 0 and VCI - 38 when I was using a DSL modem. Username was broadband.user AT btbroadband.com with no password though that might be different for you. I found the information in the User Guide that came with the hub package.

If your router insists that you enter a password, just use 'password'

I'm an IT Technician so have tried all the usual routes, Connected directly into the Main BT Socket and tried to reboot the router even done a reset still just as bad! Im off to try a non bt branded router but if that doesnt work ill have to look into changing it!

Re: Bt Total Broadband So Slow!!!

I'm a fairly new customer of BT Broadband though I've yet to experience any speed problems that haven't been solved by resetting the hub. A friend of mine did have some problems with their connection speed but
that turned out to be because the extension lead they were using was
    too long!

If speeds really are terrible for you, it might be worthwhile putting a call out to BT or even checking out their Desktop Help.

I can't imagine BT not letting you UPGRADE your package to the Business option because of the contract. Hopefully there would be no issue as you would staying with BT!

    Bt Total Broadband So Slow!!!

I have had be total broadband since aug 2006, Its now become beyond a joke, connecting at no more than 1.6mb when 6 months ago i was trodding along at 6-7mb easy. My question to you all today is. Being in an 18 month contract is there anything I can do? I hear BT Business Broadband is more reliable would I be able to move to that? or would I be able to get out of the contract early?
