BT will now be rounding calls up to the nearest penny, not the nearest 0.5p. That means EACH AND EVERY chargeable call will cost, on average, an extra ha'penny. That may just be an odd phantom ha'penny to you or me but with the tens or hundreds of millions of calls that are made that will mean a massive 'phantom' ha'penny jar to swell BT's coffers.

Gordon Brown would be proud.

This corresponds to a hidden 8% charge on a typical short call over and above the headline increased cost. I do not think a hidden extra charge of 8% is a joke.
