    BT free landline connection?

Hi everyone, I've just moved into a flat with no landline connection. I phoned O2 to enquire about their broadband packages and the operator told me that BT currently have an offer whereby they are waving the £120 connection fee, which lasts until the end of this month, pointing me in the direction of the moneyssavingexpert website. However, I have been unable to find this offer mentioned anywhere! Can anyone help me out here?

The people on the moneysavingexpert website might be able to help. My understanding is that the fee (£122 if you go through BT) is only waived if you have a working socket. There are a few places who will install a new socket for less. I googled to DirectSaveTelecom who will charge £57.

Ring 0800 800 150 and ask for the 'New line free connection offer'. It's an 18 month contract for a standard line installation ie. no extra plant, digging, cable laying, immaterial if socket working or not.

Ends June 30th and if you fail with the first operator keep trying - BT Free line offer
