I signed up to 1 of bts phone and broadband services. Option 1 I think and pay it by monthly direct debit. So Ive had it for around 3 months and being paying the bills monthly, also went paper free billing and view them online.

Then today I get a bill which is a quartly rental/broadband services bill of £51. somthing.

But how can this be if I pay it monthly which on the bills say includes line rental????????

Sorry if its a bit of a daft question as ive recently just moved in with the gf and is our 1st house and also our 1st phone line.

    Cheers Mark

BT bills are quarterly but I'm guessing you have a Monthly Payment Plan. If so the quarterly "bill" becomes a statement with no specific action required other than monitoring for accuracy and sufficiency or otherwise of your monthly payment.

OK. Under the "Billing: Payments" section and "Payments summary" are the monthly payments that you have made recorded?

    Re: BT Bills

Looked at my other bills closely and theres nothing about broadband. So I'm guessing this is a broadband bill + broadband line rental?

But then again how can it if it says you pay £7 summit for the first 3 month then £15 thereafter for bother phone and broadband???

Believe me no question about BT billing is daft. I think you should only have one account number so they may be double billing you. Bear in mind that the first bill is sometimes higher than future bills because line rental and broadband is payable in advance but for the first bill there is often a first quarter catch-up. I don't know if that is what is going on, BT bills are very difficult to follow.

You are just going to have to call Mumbai. If you don't make any progress there raise a billing complaint and eventually you will get through to online billing in Enniskillen who are very pleasant.

    Mark,

Beware of doing this - this BT(don't)Care "Patrick" could be anyone - would you wander down the road shouting out your name, phone number and Account number - this is effectively what he is requesting you to do

Patrick should know better - if he REALLY is a BT representitive - than to request these details in an open forum - this could lead to identity theft....

Shame on you BT - yet again
