Although in some way correct, the sale of goods act works more for your side within the first six months, where the company has to prove it was not fit for purpose. After six months the onus sort of falls upon yourself to prove the phone is not fit for purpose. Although I don't evisage an issue, you may have a slight argument on your hands.

Back to the firm that supplied it! . Sale of goods act "not fit for purpose" (so long as no damage). Your contract is with the supplier, not the manufacturer. So back to the shop, and don't be fobbed off.

Your phone is still covered by the manufacturers 12 month warrantee.

Therefore provided the phone has normal wear and tear, and hasn't been dropped or otherwise excessively damaged, the manufacturer has a duty to provide serviceable equipment.

Broken phone midway through contract (No insurance)

Where do I stand in this situation? I took out a contract in January 11 for a Blackberry Torch, the phone has now stopped working to an extent. The touch screen has stopped working for a couple of months which I didn't have a problem with as I never used it, however, the phone is now not registering when the keypad is out therefor the buttons on the keyboard don't work. I'm not looking for a new phone, I just want my one to work or be replaced.

Any information would be a great help.
