I, too, am fairly new to all this so hope you can help as I've spent weeks researching and still can't decide. I want to change ISP from AOL. Currently have unlimited download and pay £24.99. Want to use Outlook for email (I know I can with AOL but it's long-winded). I've no idea how much I download each month but while I download music so far don't do films (mainly because I don't know how to). I'm with BT for my phoneline and already get up to 60 mins free calls to landlines so no need to change. I'm not on cable. Thinking about going over to wireless.
I think I'm paying too much for my needs but want to make sure that I don't end up with extra cost so will consider paying up to this current amount but no more. I've tried doing my own research but when I'm kept on line for ages before I can even get through to someone in sales (eg: Sky, Virgin, BT) then I worry what it would be like if I had a technical problem!! WHICH recommend ZEN (??) and Waitrose. Uswitch recommend others. Is there a reliable (in terms of connection and service) ISP out there that isn't going to cost the earth, but will give me a fast connection?? If anyone knows who it is PLEASE LET ME KNOW!! By the way, O2 don't service my area.
Thanks a million (in advance)
PS: I also have come to the end of my contract term with Virgin and want to replace my mobile. Don't know who to switch to, to ensure good service and coverage. Again, keep researching and end up more confused.
