    Broadband for the homeworker.

I have between 60 & 70 homeworkers at this time and I am with BT Broadband, we pay the ADSL charge & the line rental charge, but i dont think that this is good value.

I could move the users to the post office but they say they dont provide broadband to business units, so that a non starter, What i would like to do is remove the line rental charge and sign this in a bundle deal but i am not having much luck. The user population will grow and i think that i will have over 100 homeworkers by september.

The users are spread out across the UK, Wales & Scotland.

    Can you help?

    Rich

    Re: Broadband for the homeworker.

    Hi Rich,

There ARE options for you - I'm frustrated slightly as it's an area that I specialise in and I would LOVE to assist - however I'm going to be diligent and follow the forum rules :) (Although you're always welcome to PM :) )

In essence, I would talk to a business solution provider - either in the telephony or the IT arena - I would actually recommend telephony.

Not only will you be able to reduce costs massively on the broadband side, but you should be looking at other aspect of the solution - for example how voice is delivered (and costs reduced) to these users - I'm presuming they use the phone??

I won't recommend any specific providers - but I would recommend that you use a smaller firm who truly understand what they are doing - and not one of the big blue-chip firms (i.e. not BT/Talk-Talk/Opal or anyone of that ilk.)

Hope this is of 'some' help,

    Jim

    Hi Richard,

Not a problem - however the rules of the forum prevent me from posting my contact details - if you looks at my info (click on jimboban) you should see an e-mail address on there - drop me a line on there and we can go from there.
