Broadband deals and the BT Landline problem

Hi, does anyone know of a way where you can get your landline and broadband without going through BT?  Anymore ways pls let me know.  I have just found a way.  have a look on line for a company named bulldog.  They will do the landline for you and wont charge you for doing it.  I haven't found out yet if you can cancell it through them but i'll keep you posted ;o)

Have a look at TalkTalk. Having been with them since around September 2006 I have been through the truly appalling service period when I didn't have any problems. During the now 'good' period I had a landline problem and broadband problem. Both were solved in a satisfactory manner and quickly.

    Hello trick,

If you don't already have a landline you won't be able to subscribe to services like TalkTalk and Tiscali as they require you to move your existing line, they can’t yet set one up from scratch.

Bulldog still use the BT network but they simply buy out the line for 12 months, this means the cancellation charge will be the remainder of the contract. The sad disadvantage to having a Bulldog line is that you can't have anyone else’s broadband but theirs and it's not that competitive compared to others.

A good company called Madasafish will set up a line for less cost than BT and better value and you should be able to use different ISP's off this service.

    Kind Regards,

    Michael.
