Re: Broadband confusion - Have your say...Avoid Virgin Media

Beware of Richard Branson, his Virgin Media are disjointed and fragmented opportunists. The product they offer is fine if it works, if there is a problem you are deep in the doo doo. Customer services do not talk to technicians or vice versa, all calls are charged for at premium rates. There are never any supervisors available to speak to. No-one can call you back. No-one ever takes up the burden of responsibility. I was made to test every piece of my telephone equipment including removing each wall socket (I don't know why) in a process that took hours and the following day another techie tried to make me do it again. Their technicians were unfamillier with the router I was using. One piece of information I gave them on the first day identified the real problem but no-one noticed so it took 13 days, all without any internet connection.
    Avoid Virgin Media.

Contrary to the previous post, somehow I found Virgin broadband pretty good and reliable. Luckily I didn't have any technical problems and didn't have to keep calling a premium number for customer service. But for any enquiry I just dialed 789 or whatever that 3 digit number you can call from your Virgin landline phone and I was transferred to the relevant department.

I just don't like Virgin TV, as I used to have SKY and wish I could move back to it someday.
