You can do clever stuff if you catch ebay at the right time by say buying a sim card that suits you at way below its face value but you have to use that phone number and if you buy another one another phone new phone number. NEW PHONE - if she wants something simple if the Nokia 1100 is still around that's good and simple. As a rule of thumb Nokia are really user friendly - easy to text with.If you buy a new phone on ebay make sure you get the receipt or that it has been pre registered so you have the year's warranty. get on 02 online or the old o2 genie plan...you can get a free sim card from freesim.o2.co.uk if the offer isnt available at the moment just keep trying put this into any o2 or sim free phone that catches your eye and your away ....when you top up £10 you get 300 text messages free for the next 30 days............

My wife uses her mobile almost exclusively for texting, 100+ per month.
She wants a new phone,pay as you go, no gimmicks just pure simplicity, obviously minimum cost.
Doesn't want orange network, had too many problems, O2 ok tho.
Can anyone recommend the best deal currently please ?
Seen list on this website says Nokia phone, virgin mobile average cost £2.50 per month but when you look into it it says cost £30 per month??
